Bob Moose League Names Nemchik Best Batter Monday, April 19th, 2032 Frank Nemchik must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .571 clip, then the Topeka third baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the FFL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Nemchik batted .571 (12-for-21) with 2 home runs and 2 RBIs. This year Nemchik has hit at a .441 pace and produced 8 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 11 runs. |
