Ryuzaburo Nishiyama took DOUBLE A by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 22.

For his spectacular campaign, the San Antonio Storm Troopers star has been named the 2031 Bob Moose League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the third baseman.

On the season he compiled a .278 batting average to go with a .364 on-base percentage. The native of Japan also added 34 doubles, 5 triples, 27 home runs, 96 RBIs and 87 runs scored.

Jack Zapor of the New York Ninjas finished second in voting, while Kevin Rivière of the San Antonio Storm Troopers finished third.
