Frisco Starter Wins September's Pitcher Award Wednesday, October 1st, 2031 Kuniyoshi Nishiyama took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Cory Lidle League Pitcher of the Month award for September. The 23-year-old Rams starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 5-0 won-lost record in 5 starts. This month he fanned 23 batters in 28.1 innings and compiled a 1.27 ERA. So far this season Nishiyama has a record of 16-5 with 135 strikeouts and 55 walks in 164 innings and a 2.14 ERA. |
