Cornhuskers Kachmar Suspended
Tuesday, September 30th, 2031
For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, DeKalb Cornhuskers first baseman Mark Kachmar will have to sit out 2 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Cornhuskers that Kachmar had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Rats game yesterday at Earl Campbell Stadium.
After being ejected, Kachmar turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies.
This season Kachmar has banged out 55 hits in 157 at-bats for a .350 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .381 pace and his totals also include 31 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
