Héctor Garza Injured, Out for Year
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2031
The doctors have spoken and Héctor Garza of the Madison Beehive didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Garza sustained his season-ending injury during the Silicon Valley Hackers game yesterday at San Jose Municipal Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the Madison medical staff reported Garza had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
This season Garza has hit at a .280 clip and produced 40 runs batted in, 4 home runs and 48 runs.
