Cheng-qian Ling Sidelined for Season Thursday, August 21st, 2031 The season is finished for Cheng-qian Ling of the Marysville Monarchs. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Monarchs second baseman suffered a fractured knee while running the bases in a recent game against the Atlantic City Enforcers. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal. This season Ling is hitting .296 with 82 hits, 12 home runs, 58 RBIs, scored 44 runs and played in 78 games. |
