Such is the case with Morihiro Hashimoto, a 23-year-old starter for the DeKalb Cornhuskers. In June, he topped off the month with a 3-0 mark and 1.78 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 30.1 innings, fanned 33 and held opposing teams to a .200 average. In 16 starts this season Hashimoto has recorded a 7-4 record and a 4.11 ERA. |
