Jail Birds Lose Villanueva for Season Tuesday, June 3rd, 2031 Juan Villanueva of the Jail Birds just might have to call it quits for the season. The 22-year-old Newark right fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Phoenix Lights recently at UFO Field. Villanueva suffered a torn back muscle while running the bases. The Jail Birds medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 5 months. This year Villanueva has hit at a .302 clip with 35 hits, 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
