Manny Durán Named Premier DKL Player
Sunday, November 7th, 2032
At the age of 26, Manny Durán of the Antioch Coal Miners could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2032 was good enough to win the right fielder the Darryl Kile League Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .280 batting average this year, as well as a .410 on-base percentage. He played 125 games and racked up 127 hits, 13 doubles, no triples, 37 home runs, 97 RBIs and 105 runs scored.
Way-ming Wang of the Billings Mustangs finished second in voting, while Yaichiro Yokoyama of the Astoria Argonauts finished third.
