League Suspends Bronx's Tong
Sunday, September 19th, 2032
There was a hostile encounter between Wang Tong and the men in blue in yesterday's Bronx-Detroit game. The Bombers first baseman was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager.

"I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Tong stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho."

The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Tong for 3 games.

Presently Tong is hitting .345 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 64 games and scored 25 times.
