Murayama Slams 5 Hits for Billings
Sunday, September 19th, 2032
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Toyokazu Murayama is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Minneapolis Freeze at Cobb Field today. The monster effort from the 28-year-old right fielder helped the Billings Mustangs take the win, 13-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Freeze manager John Justin. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Toyokazu Murayama hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This year Murayama has hit 4 home runs and posted a .335 batting average.
