Walker Gone for Season in Acapulco
Sunday, August 29th, 2032
Watching Jason Walker getting helped off the field today at Cobb Field, fans of the Acapulco Banditos feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 7 months with a torn labrum. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Walker suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Mustangs.

To date this season Walker sports a 7-7 mark with a 5.21 ERA in 25 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .289 batting average and has 108 strikeouts in 121 innings.
