Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Hiller Saturday, August 28th, 2032 Fletch Hiller, center fielder for the Antioch Coal Miners, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 3-2 victory today over the Fort Worth Cats at The Coal Mine today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Fletch Hiller singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and flied out in the 10th. Hiller has a .294 average and a .339 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 84 hits, 14 home runs and driven in 40 runs. |
