Antioch Stops Bullmore's Hit Streak
Thursday, August 19th, 2032
Ross Bullmore, second baseman for the Philadelphia Freedom, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 1 tries against the Antioch Coal Miners today. Not only did the Coal Miners break his 22-game hitting streak, they also beat Philadelphia by the score of 10-0.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Bullmore said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
This season Bullmore has hit at a .360 clip with 34 RBIs, 5 home runs and 46 runs scored.
