Banditos Young Fails Drug Test, Suspended 80 Games Friday, August 6th, 2032 Bad news for starting pitcher Lonnie Young of the Acapulco Banditos. The league commissioner's office reported he has tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance and will be given a 80-game suspension. Young was not available for comment. However, the Banditos general manager said in a statement, "Our organization fully supports our league's drug policy, and we will do all we can to help Lonnie get his career headed back on a positive course." On his stats sheet this season Young shows a 5-8 record, 18 starts, 97 innings, 77 strikeouts and a 6.31 ERA. |
