20-Game Hitting Streak for Wang
Wednesday, July 28th, 2032
The Billings Mustangs may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 9-4 to the Silver Lake Baristas, but Way-ming Wang continued to hit like a god.
The first baseman collected 1 hit in 2 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Wang is playing great and is on fire right now," Mustangs manager Greg Morgan said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Wang was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Way-ming Wang walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Acanda Choudhary in the 8th.
This season Wang is batting at a .316 clip with 32 home runs and 90 RBIs.
