Detroit's Aoki to Miss 7 Months Wednesday, May 19th, 2032 "I'm frustrated right now," said Detroit reliever Yoichibei Aoki. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Death Stars, that's where he will be spending 7 months. Aoki suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in today's game against Joplin while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." To this point in the season he has had no saves. Aoki has made 11 relief appearances, tossed 18.1 innings and struck out 14 with a record of no wins and 1 loss. |
