Red-Hot Kim DKL Player of the Week Monday, May 3rd, 2032 27-year-old Yeong-il Kim made a few Astoria headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Darryl Kile League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Kim collected 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 9 runs. This year Kim is batting .350 with 21 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 15 times and has batted in 16 runs. |
