5-for-5 Game for Butler
Wednesday, April 7th, 2032
It seemed that Joplin shortstop Kenny Butler could do no wrong as the Fireballs KO'd the Raiders, 16-1 today. Butler rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Raiders hurlers were throwing.
"I think the Fireballs were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Reno fan after the game.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Butler in the postgame press interview.
Kenny Butler hit a solo-shot off Almas bin Su'ud in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Chuk-yan Bi in the 9th.
Currently Butler is hitting .433 and has collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 9 times, while playing in 8 games.
