Nii and Nyamu Suspended for Free-for-All
Friday, September 26th, 2031
Senichi Nii of the Chicago Titans was not happy with Amayas Nyamu, and his frustration showed when he went after the Scranton player during yesterday's game at The War Dome. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Nii and Nyamu were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game.
Both players were suspended 5 games by the league office as a result of their tussle.
"It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Nii commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings."
Nii is presently batting .254 with 2 home runs, 43 runs scored and 36 RBIs. His OBP is .341.
Checking out his stats for the year, Nyamu has racked up 3 wins and 3 losses in 11 starts, 4.74 ERA and struck out 55 batters in 57 innings.
