Rice on Fire, 6-for-7 Against Scranton Wednesday, September 24th, 2031 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Paul Rice today -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Hell Stadium and paced the Racers to a 20-4 win over the Scranton Escape. After his dynamite batting performance, the Bowling Green first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. Paul Rice singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Máximo Larreta in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
