Hawken Rips Omaha for 5 Hits Saturday, September 20th, 2031 Bill Hawken did a number on the Raptors in the Bronx 19-5 victory today, and the number was 5. The Bombers first baseman banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Anchorage Municipal Stadium to lead his club past the Omaha Raptors. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Bill Hawken singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Edmundo Luas in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
