Suzuki Batters Minneapolis for 5 Hits
Thursday, September 18th, 2031
The Acapulco Banditos stopped the Minneapolis Freeze by a score of 16-3 at Underdogs Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Yoshihiro Suzuki. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Suzuki said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Suzuki did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Freeze.
"Not much that I can say," offered Minneapolis manager Joe Ward. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Yoshihiro Suzuki hit a solo-shot off Curt Hart in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Rodolfo Reyes in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Suzuki is currently batting .382 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.
