Fireballs Won't Get Playoff Berth Friday, September 12th, 2031 Fans of the Joplin Fireballs have long since given up hope of the club making a serious playoff push this season. But now those hopes are officially gone, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Joplin last appeared in the postseason in 2029. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 19-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Fireballs have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
