Season Over for José Santos in Joplin
Tuesday, September 9th, 2031
When José Santos was hurt against the Bronx Bombers, the Joplin Fireballs were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe that first thought. The 29-year-old reliever suffered a bone spur in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Santos would miss 4-5 months of the season.

This season Santos is 2-and-2 with 5 saves and a 4.02 ERA. He has given up 40 hits in 40.1 innings with 43 strikeouts.
