League Suspends Light and Ikeda for Brawl
Friday, September 5th, 2031
Bad blood could be brewing between the Escape and the Phantoms. In yesterday's contest at Hell Stadium, Scranton's Dylan Light and Coronado's Shoichi Ikeda caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Light and Ikeda were ejected by the umpires.
Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 3 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses.
League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation.
This year Light has collected a .255 batting average to date with 40 hits in 157 at-bats, 24 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 17 times. He has played in 54 games.
In pitching stats this season Ikeda has rung up 1 win and 1 loss in 7 games. He has an ERA of 8.63 and has fanned 19 batters in 24 innings.
