Noriaki Kobayashi Out for Season
Tuesday, August 26th, 2031
The doctors have spoken and Noriaki Kobayashi of the Peoria Caterpillars didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kobayashi sustained his season-ending injury during the Billings Mustangs game yesterday at The Cave at Barton Springs. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Peoria medical staff reported Kobayashi had torn ankle ligaments and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.

This year Kobayashi is hitting .278 with 1 home run.
