Rea Raps Peoria for 5 Hits Saturday, August 16th, 2031 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. José Rea is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Peoria Caterpillars at The Cave at Barton Springs today.The monster effort from the 27-year-old left fielder helped the Antioch Coal Miners take the win, 11-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Caterpillars manager Roberto Martínez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." José Rea doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Francisco Zúñiga in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
