Super Swinger -- Buchanan Slams 5 Hits Saturday, August 9th, 2031 Donald Buchanan exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Phantoms Field. The Acapulco catcher had a field day in the 20-11 triumph over the Coronado Phantoms, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Buchanan must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Donald Buchanan flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Shoichi Ikeda in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
