Takahashi and Moreau Suspended, Out 2 Games
Tuesday, July 8th, 2031
Yesterday at The War Dome Takahashi Takahashi and Eliot Moreau got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Chicago Titans and Bowling Green Racers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.
Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Takahashi and Moreau would be given 2-game suspensions for fighting.
In 65 games this season Takahashi has compiled a .300 batting average with 65 hits and 7 home runs. He has also scored 36 times and knocked in 29 runs.
Thus far this season Moreau has saved 0 games. His won-lost mark is 2 wins and no losses with 9 strikeouts in 9.2 innings, along with a 2.79 ERA.
