Kobayashi Blanks Quebec Tuesday, October 19th, 2032 Mitsunari Kobayashi of the Eureka Hornets spun his magic on the Quebec Armada today. He blanked them 9-0 on 4 hits, registering 12 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Kobayashi said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Eureka skipper Stephen Jackson said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Mitsunari pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. This season Kobayashi has gone 17-10 with an ERA of 3.44, posting 287 strikeouts in 235.1 innings.
