Maple Halts Beck's Hitting Steak Thursday, October 7th, 2032 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Alexander Beck as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 2 at-bats at the hands of the Maple Marauders. It wasn't all bad for the 31-year-old shortstop and the South Carolina Bombers however, as they defeated Maple 3-0 at Bomber Ballpark. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Beck laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." Thus far this year Beck has hit .327 with no home runs and 63 RBIs. |
