Costales Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Saturday, October 2nd, 2032
Rubber City left fielder Oscar Costales is really on a roll. In today's game at The Brew Stade, Costales came up with 2 hits in 4 at-bats and extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. But meanwhile, the San Diego Hops were coming up winners on the scoreboard, topping the Rhinos by the score of 8-7.
"I've never been a big stats guy, and I've never gone home happy from a loss," Costales said later. "So you can imagine how I'm feeling right now." Oscar Costales walked in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Phillips in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 10th.
Currently Costales has 7 home runs and a .289 batting average.
