Bad News for Havana, Jesús Velásquez Hurt Thursday, September 30th, 2032 The Havana Stogies learned that Jesús Velásquez is likely to be out for 5 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Jacksonville Jacks. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a fractured foot. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Havana manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Jesús is back in action." So far this year Velásquez is batting .265 with 4 home runs. |
