Murphy RCL's Best of the Week Monday, September 20th, 2032 His face might be sunbaked after all the years he's invested in this game, but 37-year-old Baden Murphy of the Seattle Sasquatch is still playing a kid's game -- and getting paid for it. The veteran first baseman had a tremendous week and was named the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week. Murphy drilled 8 hits in 13 at-bats and 2 home runs on his way to posting a .615 average. He also knocked in 4 runs and scored 3 times. So far this year Murphy has 24 home runs and a .286 batting average. |
