Stogies Are Champs of Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division Saturday, September 18th, 2032 The Havana Stogies clubhouse more closely resembled a college party tonight as the team officially captured the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division. Beers were flowing freely, champagne was being sprayed and loud music blared as players and coaches alike celebrated the accomplishment. "It's not often you get to kick back and let loose with your teammates," said starting pitcher Joe Hardy. "We're earned the right to party a little bit. And then we can focus on getting it done in the playoffs." Team manager Reynaldo Vázquez said even the coaching staff can enjoy occasions like this. "I'm proud of my guys, they deserve this," he said. It's the 7th division championship for the team and they will be seeking their 3rd ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE championship. |
