Ghandi Hits for the Cycle
Thursday, September 9th, 2032
Kajal Ghandi did everything he could for the Cabo San Lucas Toreros today -- literally.

The 28-year-old center fielder hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Toreros, going for the cycle and helping them get past the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-6, at Field de Los Layendas.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Ghandi reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, Ghandi banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 1 run batted in and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

Kajal Ghandi singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, tripled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Bill Daniels in the 9th.

In 121 games this season Ghandi has compiled a .269 batting average with 126 hits and 4 home runs. He has also scored 59 times and knocked in 36 runs.
