Mafia End Kemsley's Streak
Thursday, September 2nd, 2032
Maybe it really is taboo to talk about a hitting streak before it's over. Hours after speaking to the press about his 25-game hitting streak, Mile High left fielder Denzel Kemsley went hitless in 2 at-bats today at Don Corleone Park.

The sudden hitting drought came as the Mustangs took the 7-3 win over the New York Mafia.

"Nope, it's not magic," Kemsley said in his postgame press conference. "Nobody jinxed me. Streaks don't last forever. I've heard about it every day for weeks now. My roomie told me to get a hit before every game and wished me luck. I just ran out of hits."

In his stats this season, Kemsley has posted a batting average of .338 with 181 hits in 536 at-bats, 4 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has also scored 64 runs, walked 44 times and compiled a .386 OBP.
