Columbus's McLaughlin Will Miss Season
Thursday, September 2nd, 2032
The Columbus Aces were dealt a severe blow when Robert McLaughlin was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Vancouver Pioneers. After the game, the team trainer reported McLaughlin might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 31-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take McLaughlin at least 11 months to heal.

Season-to-date, McLaughlin has rung up 1 save in 25 relief appearances. He has 27 strikeouts and 7 walks in 29 innings while registering a 1.55 ERA and a 1-1 won-lost record.
