Roberto Clemente League Names Top Player Monday, August 16th, 2032 So Cal Republic first baseman Adam Hounsell walked away with the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Republic fans are really behind me right now," said the 27-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Hounsell batted .367 (11-for-30) with 5 home runs and 13 RBIs this week on his way to the award. This year Hounsell has collected a .310 batting average to date with 144 hits in 464 at-bats, 94 RBIs, 34 home runs and scored 63 times. He has played in 118 games. |
