2000 Hits for Abbott Tuesday, August 10th, 2032 By going 2-for-4 in the South Carolina 9-5 win over Bloomington, Ken Abbott reached the 2000-hit mark. The Bomber Ballpark fans, friend and foe, burst into applause and Abbott's teammates hugged and congratulated him on his achievement. "The guys began the countdown weeks ago," said the newest member of the 2000 Club. "I don't know who was more excited -- them or me."
