200 Victories for José Gallegos
Sunday, August 8th, 2032
His goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until he was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, José Gallegos did something even better -- the 37-year-old Columbus Aces star has now won 200 games in his career. That put him in a very select group of pitchers.

He joined that exclusive club today at Central Park Downtown Stadium by whipping the So Cal Republic 6-5, holding them to 5 hits in 2.2 innings while chalking up 5 strikeouts and no walks.

In the postgame interview, the modest Gallegos said, "It's special to win 200 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."

In 492 appearances Gallegos boasts a 200-99 career record with a 3.54 ERA. He has been credited with a save 21 times and opponents have a batting average of .245 against him.
