TML's #1 Player Named
Monday, August 2nd, 2032
After all of Matt Winters's years in baseball, some have suggested -- albeit very delicately -- that he should think about calling it quits. But the "mature adult," as he calls himself, showed last week that he's still capable of keeping up with the youngsters. The 37-year-old Kansas City left fielder was honored today as the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week.
He fended off all comers by posting a .458 average with 11 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs and 4 RBIs.
In the 2032 season Winters is hitting .314 with 7 home runs.
