Nakayama Spins Shutout Against Toreros
Thursday, July 29th, 2032
A favor to his bullpen. That's what Jun Nakayama was doing at Sick's Stadium today as he blanked the Cabo San Lucas Toreros in a 9-inning complete game shutout.
"I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Seattle Sasquatch left-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid."
Nakayama notched 5 strikeouts, surrendered 2 walks, allowed 4 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
To date this season Nakayama is 4-8 with 19 starts and an ERA of 5.06 with 70 strikeouts in 115.2 innings.
