Week's Top Performer Honored by TML Monday, July 26th, 2032 24-year-old Arnold Layne sent shock waves through ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Layne made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .409 average, 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 6 home runs and 12 runs batted in. Where the Bloomington Blazers center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Layne certainly made his mark last week. Presently Layne is hitting .266 with 21 home runs and 47 RBIs. He has played in 84 games and scored 47 times. |
