Thurman Munson League Defeats Roberto Clemente League 9-8 in Tight All-Star Game
Tuesday, July 13th, 2032
All-Star San Francisco Earthquakes' third baseman Jorge Zamora had a night to remember.
Not only did he take the field with the game's best players, he was also a huge factor in the 9-8 Thurman Munson League victory over the Roberto Clemente League All-Stars.
"We had a meeting before the game, and I was struck by the talent in the room. Old stars, young stars, it's a game I'll never forget," Zamora said after the game. "I talked to a few of my old friends from Buenos Aires, Argentina before the game, and they told me to go out and win the game for them. I'm sure they'll enjoy seeing the trophy back home," he added.
Zamora has chalked up a career batting average of .257 with 952 hits, 164 homers and 532 RBIs.
