Veteran SP Byrd Stays in Brooklyn Saturday, July 10th, 2032 Brooklyn fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Clarence Byrd won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 4-year extension at a pay rate of $12,000,000 per annum. Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Brooklyn officials had to keep Byrd from jumping ship. To date this season, Byrd has registered 16 starts, 7-5 won-lost mark, 2.79 ERA, 116 IP, 83 strikeouts and 33 walks. Opposing teams have hit .237 against him. |
