Park Stretches Hit String to 20
Sunday, June 27th, 2032
The Maple Marauders fell to the Havana Stogies in The Humidor today, even as 28-year-old right fielder Jae-hoon Park upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Park finished with 2 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Marauders from dropping the 9-4 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Park. Jae-hoon Park hit a solo-shot off Ijaz Kharoti in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Andrés Nevárez in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
So far this season Park has put up a .328 batting average with 58 hits, 9 home runs and 27 RBIs.
