Akio Ishii Hurt, Out 3 Weeks Sunday, June 20th, 2032 The Vancouver Pioneers learned that Akio Ishii is likely to be out for 3 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Oklahoma City Prowlers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a bruised wrist. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Vancouver manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Akio is back in action." This season Ishii is swinging the bat at a .197 pace. He has hit no home runs and scored 6 times, while driving in 6.
