Blazers Pitching Ravaged by Min
Thursday, June 17th, 2032
The Bloomington Blazers downed the Oklahoma City Prowlers 10-6 today at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park, in spite of the best efforts of Oklahoma City center fielder Zhuo-cheng Min. Min lashed the ball all over the park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with a 5-for-5 line -- and a loss.
"I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," he said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter."
Asked if he would adjust his strategy next time the Blazers face Min, Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez said "absolutely not."
"Our strategy was to not give him good pitches to hit," he said. "We didn't do that, and he worked us over. Thankfully, we won anyway, and next time we'll pitch to him better."
Zhuo-cheng Min singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.
Min is presently hitting at a .356 pace with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 25 games and scored 9 times.
